(02) 9072 0511Conveniently located in a family-friendly residential area close to local primary schools, our Merrylands Early Learning Centre offers an inspiring, well-resourced learning environment for children aged six weeks to six years old.
Our Merrylands childcare centre is one of our many childcare centres in Western Sydney including Mays Hill childcare centre, Guildford childcare and our Westmead childcare facility.
The seamless indoor/outdoor learning environments have been designed to stimulate children’s cognitive development, creativity and coordination skills.
Guided by a passionate team of educators, children can choose from engaging indoor learning stations, quiet zones for rest and reflection, and a dynamic outdoor learning environment, including a designated outside area for infants (0-2 years).
Children are encouraged to explore and enjoy nature in our outdoor learning environment, which includes a wide range of equipment and resources to inspire imaginative play, teamwork and gross motor skill development. Highlights include a large sandpit, cubby house, bike track, and worm farm to build their understanding of nature and sustainability.
Children up to age three participate in the tailored Evolution Program, while those between three and five join the Transition to School Program.
The on-site cook prepares five healthy meals and snacks every day for the children to enjoy, and all nappies and wipes are included. Cot linen provided (excludes stretcher bed linen).
A car park is conveniently located outside the entrance to the centre for safe and secure drop-off and pick-up.

Young Academics brings together a team of highly skilled and passionate educators committed to sparking each child’s curiosity and love of learning. With a family-orientated approach, the Young Academics team provides a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe and supported. The knowledgeable and accredited educators are well-trained to notice opportunities for play-based learning which is shaped by each child’s needs and personalities.
At Young Academics, we believe in hands-on learning experiences. Our educators seamlessly blend play and education, fostering creativity, critical thinking, and social skills. Recognising the uniqueness of each child, our team tailors activities to cater to diverse learning styles.
From sensory play to art exploration, we ensure your child develops holistically at their own pace.Beyond education, our team is dedicated to building strong, positive relationships with children and families. Trust, kindness, and understanding are the foundations of the connections we foster.

Our programs are strongly aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework. The principles that underpin the United Nations on the Rights of the Child guide and inform our practices.
Evolution Program (0-3):
We recognise the importance of the first three years of a child’s life and as such, ensure individuals approach their growth and development. The Young Academics Evolution Program is designed to support children from birth to three years to reach their developmental milestones and build the necessary skills to support their future learning.
Transition to school Program (3-5):
At Young Academics, we understand the importance of the formative preschool years in preparing children for school, and our program will help them prepare emotionally, cognitively, and physically for this significant transition. As your child prepares to start ‘big school’, our Transition to School Program recognises the importance of formative preschool years in terms of building their emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Beyond the core curriculum, we offer a range of enrichment activities, including music & movement, STEAM & Nutrition. These activities are designed to spark creativity, boost self-confidence, and enhance fine and gross motor skills.

A child’s first five years are crucial in developing healthy eating behaviours, exploring new foods and meeting nutritional requirements to help them grow and develop. Nutrition is also integral to improving children’s wellbeing, self-confidence, and ability to concentrate.
At Young Academics, we understand our early learning environments play a pivotal role in exposing children to a variety of nourishing foods and promoting healthy eating habits for life.
Our holistic Nutrition Program allows children to take part in preparing and serving their meals and learn about the important connection between hygiene, physical activity, and healthy eating.
Our nutritious seasonal four-week rotating menu meets 50% of your child’s daily nutritional requirements by serving a healthy variety of foods such as vegetables, fruits, lean meat, fish, chicken, dairy products and more.
