My name is Dr Melody Jackson and I am a GP and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), practicing in the field of breastfeeding medicine.

I became passionate about working with mothers and babies after my own experiences of both the joys and challenges of becoming a Mum and breastfeeding my babies. 

We are here to support you every step of the way. 

What we do:

Pregnancy Health

Antenatal visits are encouraged during your pregnancy. It is very helpful to see a Lactation Consultant before you give birth. I take the time to address your physical and emotional needs, as well as introduce breastfeeding and what to expect in the early days with your newborn baby. This will ensure that you are feeling well prepared and optimistic about birth, breastfeeding and beyond.

Postpartum and Newborn Care

Welcoming a new baby to the family is one of the most amazing and overwhelming experiences of our lives. There is so much information and advice given to new parents and it can be difficult to know what is best. Navigating this journey can be made easier with gentle and loving support, backed up by evidence based medicine.

Early Childhood Services

As our little ones grow up,  their needs and routines are ever-changing.  From introducing solids, returning to work or weaning the older child, I am able to help and support you and your family through all of the changes as they happen.

Services we provide :

Antenatal Education and Support : Help with preparing for baby's arrival and breastfeeding.

Breastfeeding and Induced Lactation : Assistance with any breastfeeding issues

Infant Weight Gain Concerns : Are you worried your baby isn't putting on enough weight?

Tongue Tie Assessment and Management: Comprehensive care for tongue ties and oral ties.

Unsettled Infant Behaviour : Cry and fuss problems in infants, including reflux and food allergies.

Infant Sleep Support : Difficulties with sleep from infants to children

Starting Solids : Not sure where or how to start?

Weaning : Started and now don't know how to stop?

Well Baby Checks : Blue book and general check-ups

Maternal Mental Health : Anxiety or depression in pregnancy or in the postnatal period

Contraception and Women's Health : Assistance with all aspects of family planning

Iron Infusions : Antenatal and postnatal iron infusions
